Junk Mail

To stop from receiving Junk Mail you can write to the Mail Preference Service to opt out of it. You will need to send a $1.00 check or money order for a processing fee. You will need to include the names and address of household members who do not want to receive junk mail. The letter needs to specify to that you want to be placed on the Opt-Out List. Send the letter to:

It still costs $1.00 for processing, which must be paid by credit card.

A company called Abacus has a cooperative database of catalog and publishing companies' customers. If you shop from catalogs, your name, address, and the type of items you buy are sold to marketers. You may opt-out of having your information shared by sending an email to optout@abacus-us.com or you can can send a letter to:

They will need the names and address of the people who want to opt-out.
